FESTA: Festival of Transitional ArchitectureIdentity, print and digital collateral2012
Held Labour Weekend, 2012, the inaugural Festival of Transitional Architecture (FESTA) sought to identify and investigate the fluctuating nature of Christchurch's central city's interim post-quake structures.

In response to a destroyed cityscape in a state of disorientating rapid deconstruction and reconstruction, this identity used geometric forms and discordant spot colours to create a sense of visual flux and movement.

To address the fledgling festival’s small budget and tight timeframe, I chose a three-colour offset print process and a folding poster format that also served as the festival’s brochure. This reduced cost and waste and ensured simple and consistent colour management.

Offset, three spot colours.
