Collectively trying to reorient ourselves with the altered cityscape, it was a common sight to see outstretched arms pointing at damaged or missing infrastructure.
These gestures of human mapping reminded me of the arms of a compass, oscillating back and forth, forming pathways and reference points within the destruction.
The cover typography and interior layout reflected this wonky wayfinding, as glimpses gave way to new views of the city.
